What Are K-Tip Hair Extensions?
K-Tip extensions, also known as Keratin Tip extensions, are a semi-permanent hair extension method that uses small keratin bonds to attach individual strands of hair to your natural hair.
The keratin bond is melted using a specialized heat tool and fused to your hair close to the root, allowing for a seamless and natural blend. K-Tips are known for their lightweight feel and versatility, making them a popular choice for those looking for added volume, length, or both. They typically can last anywhere from 3 months with proper care and maintenance.
2. Am I ready for K-Tip Extensions?
K-tips require a 3 weeks maintenance schedule and dedication to hair health integrity. If you are not ready to maintaine your hair or follow a health hair regimen, it is not for you. You may want to book a service that requires less maintence ex: Sew-in or Tape-in installation
If your hair can confidentially be categorized as healthy and long engough then you are ready for K-Tip installation with no consultation.
3. Why are consultations necessary for installation?
Since K-Tips are made to be versatile, your styling is VERY limited when your hair is not healthy or long enough and I will need to visually see your hair’s integrity to asses whether or not the style is suitable for you.
4. Am I ready to Book without a consultation?
I define healthy as hair that does not have damage or require lots of TLC to revive the hair to a healthy state. Your hair and scalp does NOT have trouble spots (areas of breakage, bald spots, thinning, falling out).
Your hair length should be touching your shoulders or just slightly above. Hair that is not below the ear or not all on length above the shoulders are not qualified to book with no consultation.
